I Really Want to Play Skyrim Again but Im Worried It Wont Be Fun

Skyrim isn't equally fun anymore

I don't get how some people can spend several k hours into any game. With my 1100 steam hours and around 400 off-steam hours, Skyrim is starting to fade for me. I've washed all there is to exercise in all DLC's. All that matters, anyhow. I've been to every cave at to the lowest degree twice, done some quests more than times than I can count. I've heard some phrases then many times information technology feels empty not hearing it as I pass past.

I've started more characters than I can count to, lol.

Don't mention the word roleplay. I don't similar it, I don't practise it and I svck at it. I'm a casual gamer, period.

Attempt a unlike blazon of character. Exercise things a unlike way. I likewise have near 12 characters, iv of them are sneaky archers, 2 are sword and shield, and the residuum are dissimilar types of mages. Endeavor something different.

Yep, the simple solution is sometimes the right i. I've recently started to become a flake burnt out on Skyrim even though it's my favorite game, so I'm finally giving it a much needed rest. I simply started playing Sleeping Dogs as information technology'due south free and even though it'southward a fleck clunky with controls, it's a fun breath of fresh air from Skyrims dried air. Posting hither though makes me want to play Skyrim again fifty-fifty though I told myself I would stop for awhile :P

I've played so many warriors, so many thieves and and so many mages that nothing is fun. I don't similar leveling anymore either. I don't similar hybrids like spellswords/battlemages/nightblades/whatecer

I'm leaning towards a permanent one

I don't play the game anymore, simply modern information technology. All the brilliant countless of mods out there are the only reason I accept the game.

Why the hell should you get stuck in Skyrim? Why exercise you lot feel that you should savour a game afterward 1500 hours in full of gameplay? Skyrim is slap-up, but information technology is but a game, limited in its greatness, and I find quite normal your symptoms of colorlessness. I enjoyed this game for 700 hours and sometimes I notwithstanding enter the game once more but just for a cursory ride, and then off once more. Life goes on. At that place aren't new dlcs, the Skyrim developer team has passed to a new chapter of the Elderberry Scrolls (I hope!). Don't get stuck in a game that has given you much but that cannot give you everything.

Agreed. the "magic" has disappeared a long time ago for me, even back when the DLC was releasing i was kind of tired of information technology. i call back that Dawnguard was the only thing that brought me back into information technology. then after doing everything in Dawnguard i stopped playing again, and then HF came out then and Dragonborn, etc.. today was the first fourth dimension i've played in months but couldnt keep playing more than i hour. felt bored. i'm thinking of not playing for now for at least a year then perhaps getting back into it. then it might be fun once again only im also afraid that if i exercise that i might not be able to get into it always again. :P

One kewl way of taking a interruption could be to learn how to utilize the creation kit, and attempt your hand at making a mod, mayhap by starting out past making a couple of fully detailed dungeons. Since you accept a vast knowledge of Skyrim's ins&outs, you lot could probably design a very overnice lore plumbing fixtures one, or who knows...maybe you could exist the author of the next mod, that blows Falskaar out of the water?

For me my issue lies in the fact that nothing in Skyrim surprises me any more. At that place are no surprises involved in any of the quest or the globe I explore. Very few things, simply they are one fourth dimension events that I'll never want to visit again.

Just take a suspension, no ones gonna judge you if you do. peculiarly when the "magic" is gone thats when information technology would be wise to put information technology down and not carp forcing yourself. To me trying to roleplay as a means to keep things fresh is rather stupid because the game doesn't change what its lacking or what you're findng stale. to supplement your enjoyment is i thing, beyond that is merely trying to difficult.

if yous notice that when yous get dorsum to skyrim its however not as engaging then merely put it down, 1100 hours is nothing to sneeze at.

The reason it'south non as fun anymore is considering y'all know what exactly goes on in the world; you know what's alee of you in [insert dungeon here], or where random events generate, or where the next cave bear will pop upwards. After a while, there's no surprise, which takes away some fun unfortunately :\

It sounds similar modding might be your best option. That, or take a long break from it. If you nevertheless like the game, you lot'll want to come back to it. If not.. then y'all've moved on, and I guess it'south wait until ESO comes out or revisit one of the older Elder Scroll installments. Or, of course, go to another game(s) entirely.

Some folk accept actually put some time into the game. I suppose role playing does help, and I've washed it myself, simply even then i can but play this game for so long. 600 hours was plenty for me, and I treat Skyrim like any other game I play. I get bored, I stop playing. I go that feeling to play again, I play it again. Simple. Yous don't have to strength yourself to play it every bit if it's some sort of job.
